elvis-tiny software package provides Tiny vi compatible editor for the base system, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install elvis-tiny
elvis-tiny is installed in your system.
Make ensure the elvis-tiny package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep elvis-tiny *
You will get with elvis-tiny package name, version, architecture and description in a table
